Covid-19 Salon Policy

Overview

The health and wellbeing of our clients have always been our top priority. That’s why we are putting strict measures in place, in line with government guidelines and advice from the National Hair & Beauty Federation, to protect you and our staff.


All clients are asked to read the terms of our policy prior to visiting the salon. 

What we will do

  • The business will operate for seven days a week for the near future to accommodate demand
  • All staff will check their temperature prior to coming in to the salon.
  • Staff will wear masks and a visor.
  • There will be a clean down of stations in between clients. 
  • Salon stations, the backwash, equipment and other touch points will be thoroughly cleaned between clients.
  • Staff will sanitise their hands between clients.
  • All towels and gowns will be washed at 60 degrees.
  • Divider screens will be in place at the till point and back wash where appropriate.

what we need you to do

  • Arrive at the appointment time only and come alone.
  • Wait outside until you are asked to come in, clear floor markings will show you where to stand and your stylist will welcome you and ask you to sanitise your hands.
  • Masks are compulsory whilst you are in the salon.
  • You will be guided to a station where you will be seated. Should you need to move to the backwash you will be guided safely. Please take great care to maintain 2 metre distances when moving around the salon.
  • We are unable to provide magazines or drinks but can provide a complimentary bottle of water. You are welcome to bring your own hot drinks, magazine or books.
  • Using the bathroom should be avoided where possible. Should you need to use the bathroom, antibacterial wipes are provided to sanitise touch points following use. You will need to ensure your hands are thoroughly washed and sanitised.
  • We ask for contactless or card payment wherever possible to avoid handling of cash.
  • We ask you not to touch any of our retail products unless you are definitely purchasing the item.  
  • Please do not bring any unnecessary items to your appointment with you. 
  • We will not be able to offer more/less that the services that you have booked due to the strict timescales required.

YOU MUST SELF-ISOLATE AND NOT COME IN FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT IF:

  • You are waiting for the result of a test for coronavirus.
  • You have tested positive for coronavirus.
  • You have any symptoms of coronavirus (COVID 19). 


Or, you live with someone who:


  • Is waiting for a coronavirus test result.
  • Has tested positive for coronavirus
  • Has symptoms of coronavirus (COVID 19)  


The main symptoms of coronavirus are:


  • High temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature).
  • New, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).
  • Loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal. 

WE HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO SHARE YOUR DATA WITH NHS TEST & TRACE FOR COVID-19

The opening up of the economy following the COVID-19 outbreak is being supported by NHS Test and Trace. We must assist this service by keeping a temporary record of our customers and visitors for 21 days, and assist NHS Test and Trace with requests for that data if needed. This could help contain clusters or outbreaks.  Further details of how we store and use your data can be found in our Privacy Notice.
