am the Owner of The Scissor Psychologist in Chester. I am passionate about hair and understand how important your hair is to you too. I take the time to get to know my clients and love to see you whether I am recreating the same trusted look, helping you make some tweaks to your existing style or sometimes bringing your brave new ideas to life!
Your hair is as important to me as it is to you. I am a trusted and highly qualified hair professional and I spend time on professional development to ensure I keep up to date with the latest trends and techniques. I am a colour and textured hair specialist. I really enjoy working with wavy and curly hair to empower you to work with your texture.
So where did the name ‘The Scissor Psychologist’ come from?
Scissors for the obvious link to cutting hair and psychologist as I am passionate about understanding your thoughts and wishes (for your hair!) and helping you to achieve them.

Amy has a particular interest in hair colouring and loves keeping up to date with the latest hair trends. She has been a hairdresser since 2013 and was trained by Emma so they are very happy to be working together again.

Anna has been in the hairdressing industry for more than 26 years, witnessing some significant changes. Always keen to keep up to date with current trends and techniques, she has completed dozens of courses, honing her skills as a talented and sought-after stylist.
Her passion for creating perfect colours, combined with years of hands-on experience, allows her to deliver consistently high-quality results tailored to each client’s individual needs.

Debbie has been hairdressing since 2002 and brings passion and attention to detail to every appointment.
A true perfectionist with babylights, she specialises in enhancing wavy and curly hair, ensuring clients leave feeling happy, confident, and excited about their hair. Debbie is highly trained in precision cutting and loves creating looks that suit each individual client.

Trained personally by salon owner Emma, she has developed a strong eye for detail and a creative approach to colouring techniques. Stacey has been in the hairdressing industry for 20 years, and during that time she's
achieved many amazing milestones in her career. Stacey is also an educator, and has helped many talented stylists complete their training to the highest standard.
Stacey holds a Master’s qualification in hair colour, which she achieved with full distinctions. Specialising in all aspects of hairdressing, including tape hair extensions, Stacey also absolutely loves working on colour changes, creative cutting, highlights, and balayage.
Whether you’re looking for a simple trim or a full transformation, Stacey will help bring your vision to life.
